ODAK project prepares for Phase 1 Clinical Trials

The ODAK project is gearing up for the Phase 1 clinical trials which will start in September 2015. 

ODAK project consortium meets in London

December 2014 - the ODAK project held its 24 month technical and steering committee meetings in London hosted by partner organisation Moorfields pharmaceuticals.

ODAK project meeting held in Sicily

Every six months the partners (SIFI, RTC, UoR, Ceratium, PSR and  Moorfields) of the Orphan Drug  for Acanthamoeba keratitis  (ODAK) project convene to update the Steering and Technical Committees about the research and development activities of the ODAK project. SIFI had the pleasure to host this ODAK Partners Meeting at its facilities in Sicily on 18th -19th June. The project is funded by the European Commission.

ODAK partner Ceratium to present a Poster at the 7th Annual European Conference on Rare Diseases and Orphan Products, Berlin, Germany. 8th - 10th May 2014. 

ODAK to attend the Seventh International Rare Disease day event at the House of Commons, London.

28th February 2014 marks the seventh international Rare Disease Day

This annual international event is aimed at raising awareness and highlighting the needs of people with rare diseases. There are over 6,000 rare diseases affecting over 3.5million people across the UK. 
The theme for Rare Disease Day 2014 is care with the slogan 'joining together for better care'. Experience shows that bringing together scattered knowledge and resources for people living with rare diseases is the most efficient and effective way to mobilise the care patients and families need and deserve.
